Pldt stands for Pooled Long Term Insurance. It's a term used in the insurance industry to describe a group of people who purchase an insurance policy together, where the policy covers each member of the group.
This type of insurance is mainly purchased by employers who need to cover their employees in case they have health issues that may require medical attention.
Pldt stands for "Public Library District." A Pldt 1699 plan, a home broadband plan is a type of Internet service offered by the public library district in which the library provides the service. This service is generally available at no cost to library card holders.
A WiFi plan, on the other hand, refers to a type of broadband service that allows users to connect to the Internet using wireless technology. Most public libraries offer WiFi plans as an added convenience for their patrons.
Will I have access to public WiFi from my home?. Yes, all members of the public will be able to access free WiFi at the library with the purchase of a Pldt home broadband plan. Unfortunately, this is something that currently cannot be done with most Pldt plans.
However, Pldt provides a very low-cost service on its mobile broadband of 1GB per month but offers no restrictions to those that wish to use it. If you have any questions regarding internet service please contact your local library.
